Brief Background; Rai's history is a little less than mysterious, as he's the type of person who doesn't like to dwell on the past. He hasn't ever told anyone what his past was really like besides the simple words, "My mom and dad died," which is what you heard from every kid at the orphanage. He wasn't exactly the coolest kid at the orphanage- actually, he was often seen eating alone or playing alone. Being scrawny and unnaturally tall for his age, other kids found him awkward and too quiet.
It was only when he was seven when he really showed any emotion, and, strangely enough, it was of fascination and awe. A young, ambitious boy his age had arrived, and it was obvious he excelled above all the others. He was stronger, smarter; just in general better than any of the other kids, surpassing even those older than he. However, it wasn't likely the other boy paid any attention to him, and it was only a matter of time when he was adopted by a wealthy man.
Rai continued to stay at the orphanage until he was fifteen, when he was taken in by a kind woman and a brash but proud man. Coincidentally, the man owned a boxing store, so Rai quickly beefed up. It was when he was 18 when he decided to become a hunter and make the streets safer for his family when his adopted sister had a run-in with a vampire that didn't end well. Soon he joined Seifer in the Disciplinary Committee, finding it slightly ironic that they had met up after all those years.
Rai lives with adopted parents currently, and is ever-loyal to the DC.
